Green tea concentrate is often sold in pill and tablet form as a way to get a daily dosage of green tea without having to drink cup after cup of liquid. When manufacturers found out a way to draw out a concentrated form of green tea, it allowed them to market that product in ways that had never been thought of before.
These pills have the same effective health effects of drinking the liquid form of green tea but without having to take the time to boil water and steep the tea. Green tea has been proven to have a myriad of health benefits to the human body, so when companies are able to provide it in pill form, it also gives those who want to implement green tea into their lives a convenient way to do so.
Green tea extract is an anti oxidant that is one hundred times more potent than vitamin C and over twenty times as potent as vitamin E. Green tea has also been shown to be an anti-cancer agent, and it may help to lower the low density lipoproteins (or “bad cholesterol”) in our bodies.
One of the potential risks associated with green tea concentrate, however, is that it includes caffeine. While some may see this as a benefit, there are others out there who have to watch their caffeine intake. To that end, manufacturers have found a way to manufacture green tea concentrate that is caffeine free!
There is also a concentrate form of green tea available in liquid form that allows you to add drops of the concentrate to water in order to create a drinkable beverage. Because the green tea is in concentrated form, you can get all the health benefits that come from drinking green tea with just one cup of iced or hot tea when you add the green tea concentrate.
Asians have known for years that green tea can help keep you healthy, and they also have incorporated green tea into sacred ceremonies that can heal your mind as well. In general, studies have shown that the Asian populations, who consume green tea much more than any other country, don’t have the same health problems that plague our world population. They’ve known it for years and we are just now getting on the bandwagon!
Whether you choose your green tea concentrate in pill or liquid form, you will be doing yourself a favor either way. You can choose to “pop a pill” or make a refreshing glass of iced green tea. As long as you are incorporating green tea into your life, you will find that green tea really can heal you body and mind.
