(NCCAOM). In order to become an acupuncture specialist one needs to study for three to four years and should also
have more than 3,000 hours of training.

sufficient clinical experience. It is not only the hours of practice put in by the acupuncture specialist that is
important but also the number of patients treated successfully and the more experienced the acupuncture specialist
is better and faster results will be obtained.

one closest to you. Once the specialist has been located, one can go to him or her for specialized treatment, which
may include treating obesity, arthritis or joint pains or whatever other ailments that can be treated using
acupuncture.

work on treating it and that may involve inserting needles into different areas of the body in order to better the
functioning of the body in a way that will provide relief for the patient.

multi-targeted approach. This might involve lowering the body weight through increasing the output of the pituitary
